Studying Flow Forms through Salad Tongs
This project was done during the spring semester sophomore products studio. During this project, we created salad tongs by cutting four curves through blocks of wood. After iterating the curves, making foam practice models, and cutting and sanding the final forms, we were left with two mirrored elegantly abstracted curvilinear forms. Through created these salad tong flow forms, we were able to get a better understanding of the complex forms that can be created out of only four simple curved cuts.
